The Coquet
Who are you? You're very pretty...
– I am a rooster, said Le Coquet. Yes, Coquet, I am, that’s my name! French elegance; 100% Gallic, 100% Made-in-France, 100% Comtois.
– Where are you from, Coquet?
– Christine Maffli designed me. Made of hand-crafted metal, I would embody French creative energy.
– But Coquet, you're just a farmyard animal!
– A farmyard rooster perhaps, but with a high and proud crest to have displayed my blue, white and red plumage at the Elysée, to embody the know-how of Franche-Comté, French art and the emblem of my country, its excellence, its richness and its diversity.
A work
“In the shadows, the idea is born, fragile, invisible, like a secret nestled in the hollow of a chrysalis. It grows in silence, nourished by dreams. Then comes the shiver, the gentle tear, the fragile moment when the cocoon opens. And in the momentum of its first heartbeat, it flies away free, luminous like a butterfly.”
